After holding the 57th International conference at UPI Bandung (see this link), The Association of Teacher of English as Foreign Language in Indonesia (TEFLIN) will hold its the 58th conference at IKIP PGRI Semarang. This time, TEFLIN will take the issue of "LANGUAGE TEACHING AND CHARACTER BUILDING" as the theme of conference.

I am very glad to have found this website through Facebook. Though I have acquired English language so much more while living in the United States, I must admit that I have taken a break from teaching for so long that I need to be "retrained" how to teach. I am a graduate of then IKIP Negeri Semarang 's English Department (now UNNES) in 1982 and had taught English in several institutions in Semarang. It would be nice to be back in the English teaching environment. I would like to thank the organizers of this event to bring this international conference to my hometown of Semarang. We need to bring Semarang to the international platforms more often. Thank you, thank you, thank you.(Ika Variany).
